Many simply do not know that insect repellent and spray on sunscreen are extremly harmful to Turfgrass. Just take a look.

At the bottom edge of the dead area…you can notice healthy turf in the shape of footprints. Yes! CSI on the golf course!

If you find yourself in need of any of those two things please spray on the cart path or in the parking lot before you head out. 

The nice stretch of weather has really allowed us to dry out. Finally! 

We are dialing in on the greens. My focus for this month will be little pockets of moss. 

I use a dabbing stick with a little herbicide “Quicksilver”…once a week.

I will share results as time goes on.

Backfilling stumps is another focus.

Dump topsoil/spread/and tamp.

Smooth out.

Add seed.

Leaf rake for seed/soil contact.

Then on to the next and repeat.

Hand-watering is underway! High temps this week brought the wilt! The hose is ready!
